Safety Supplies Save Lives – Will You Be A Healthcare Hero?

doctor with face mask on talking with patientsAt the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic, our mission is to serve our neighbors by filling gaps in area health services. The majority of our funding, which allows us to do so, comes from our local community. Now, more than ever, we’re so grateful for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic through the years. Yet, COVID-19 has, nonetheless, taken its toll.

Right now, our team is working to ensure that our mission continues, even as guidelines and restrictions have caused us to shift the way we operate. In the wake of COVID-19, the cost of protective equipment for our staff has more than doubled — and we use a lot more of it. We’ve also had to buy new types of equipment and technology that we didn’t need before, and we have cancelled our annual events, which, together, brought in over $50 thousand each year.

While many things are very different this year, one isn’t – we still need you. Your support is more important than ever, because, while much of the world has stopped, our mission of providing our neighbors with quality healthcare is more important than ever. Will you be that bridge of support for your neighbors in need?

In the midst of increasing changes within the global healthcare system, the Shenandoah Community Health Clinic stands firm as a source of help for those in need. But, we cannot continue this good work without you. Our clinical staff has been Frontline Phenoms, remaining dedicated to our patients, even in the most uncertain times of the pandemic. They have earned their capes, but you can become a health care hero by helping us provide them with the protective equipment they need to safely continue their important work. Safety supplies save lives, now more than ever.

We look forward to working with you to bridge the gaps in healthcare in our community and firmly believe that, together, we can bring even more hope and healing to this community. Thanks for your support and everything you can do to make this community a better place for all.
